NOVEMBER 2022

MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF THE
 RAYMORE-PECULIAR BAND BOOSTERS CLUB, INC. 
TUESDAY – NOVEMBER 8TH, 2022

The regular meeting of the Raymore-Peculiar Band Boosters Club was held in the band room. Those in attendance were:Jennifer Gibson, Libby Craig, Bobbi Bond, Marian Pfeiler, Seina Pfeiler, Michelle Helzer,  Jill Clingan, Jason Heuwinkel, Chris Thompson, Stephanie Dillon, 
Melissa Adams, LeeAnne Thompson
The meeting was called to order at 7:05 pm by Libby Craig

• Meeting Expectations and Bylaws Objectives:
  

• Assist the RP Band programs and directors
  
• Promote enthusiasm and commitment to band among students, parents, school board, and communities
  

• Support instrumental music education throughout the district
  
• To raise funds to finance or partially finance activities related to music education
  

Business Report:
 Amended minutes as Melissa Guyer & Melissa Adams names were reversed.  Pheiler was corrected to Pfeiler.  Motion to approve minutes for October booster meeting was made by Libby Craig, seconded by Jason Heuwinkel.
Directors Report: Jennifer Gibson

• Best Marching Season -Leadership was great and proud of them all
  
• All District band auditions are on November 12th, meet at 6:45am, blind audition
  
• Thank you for awards provided last night
  
• Thank you for all that the Band Boosters do from semi-driver and for the Season
  
• December 12th - Jazz Band
  
• Hawaii Plans will have complete packets soon
  
• Clinicians are figured out
  

President Report: Libby Craig

• No Report
  

Uniform Report: Melissa Adams

• Hawaii - Still 7 bibbers to be fitted
  
• Bibbers will go in student suitcase with shoes and socks
  
• Wil need to steam bibbers once in hotel 
  
• After Hawaii will need to break all down 
  
• Ms. Gibson will take the help with ordering tux shirts 
  
• Students to pick up bibbers for Hawaii between November 10th -17th
  

Color Guard:  Jennifer Gibson

• Winter guard tryouts are this Wednesday - Friday 
  
• Coming to Hawaii Rehearsal next Thursday
  
• Still working on mat -should be a School district expense 
  

Fundraising Committee: Bobbi Bond

• Butter braids – pick up from 5 -7pm on Thursday, Email will go out
  
• Grant Emery, Senior was not on list -Baritone - so was not recognized with a cookie
  
• Mattress Fundraiser coming soon - November 15th is Virtual meeting - receive $5.00 per family if attend, can place a sign in your yard announcing event
  
• Father/Daughter Dance - will be Saturday Night, February 11, 2023.  Will need all of the Band Booster and Students help
  
  • Need to figure out committees - Decorations, communications, donations, refreshments, games. facility, photo booth, etc.
    
  • Will be at the High School for the first time
    
  • After Hawaii, figure out logistics -Dance, Activities, Snacks, Pictures
    
  • Students do work for paid hours - decorations, set up and working the event
    
  • Students bring cookies, cupcakes, candy and will get hours
    

• Theme needs to be decided by the students to have them involved
  
  • Ms. Gibson will send survey -  These were the ideas -Enchanted Evening, Night In Paris, Hollywood, Candy Land, Sock Hop, Winter Wonderland, Under the Sea 
    
  • Narrowed down to Three:  Enchanted Evening, Candy Land and Sock Hop
    
• Can use the props from this year as blank white canvas and maybe color guard flags, lots of stuff in the shed that might be used
  
• Email needs to go out about event  - Meeting Monday, November 14th at 7pm -Need to find a parent night that works for working on props, get organized and start setting up committees
  
• Suggestion made to reach out to Orchestra or Choir if more help is needed for this event

Treasurer Report: Marian Pfeiler

• One more bill to pay for Leasing Truck $1900 and the Driver 
  
• ChuckWagon under budget this year
  
• Band Fees 30 students outstanding 
  
• Bobbi Bond suggested with Father/Daughter to put 25% of funds in Band Booster and take the 75% and divide among hours worked by students. Marian Pheiler said money will only be taken from funds raised that night and will be split, which is around $10.00 an hour for the students, will not include ticket sales
  
• This is a community event- school event-Michele Stidham at District Office must approve flyer before going into backpacks - Also need to offer Pre Order tickets 
  
• No requests for per diem
  
• Butter Braids have been added to student accounts - $6.40 was made per butter braid and over 500 were sold

Will help with Props for Father/Daughter Dance & Direct traffic at event
