MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF THE
 RAYMORE-PECULIAR BAND BOOSTERS CLUB, INC. 
TUESDAY – MAY 9th, 2023

The regular meeting of the Raymore-Peculiar Band Boosters Club was held in the band room. Those in attendance were: Jennifer Gibson, Zach Shupe, Libby Craig, Jenna Craig, Bobbi Bond, Marian Pfeiler, Seina Pfeiler, Michelle Helzer, Bo Helzer, Jill Clingan, Melissa Adams

The meeting was called to order at 7:00pm by Libby Craig
Meeting Expectations and Bylaws Objectives:

• Assist the RP Band programs and directors
  
• Promote enthusiasm and commitment to band among students, parents, school board, and communities
  

• Support instrumental music education throughout the district
  
• To raise funds to finance or partially finance activities related to music education
  

Business Report:.
Motion to approve minutes for April 11th, 2023 booster meeting was made by 
Lisa Sorge, seconded by Melissa Adams
Directors Report: Jennifer Gibson

• Great Spring Concert
  
• State was a success with lots of gold, silver and bronze
  
• Marching Band off to a great start- prototype of prop by Mr. Mott
  

• May 22nd, Jazz will perform before Band awards & Senior recognitions
  
• Kelsey said Spiritwear ready by Thursday - 104 are in Marching Band 14 are Colorguard
  

 Jazz Band Director: Zach Shupe

•  Drawers for expensive equipment -going with a network base -  $1256.71
  
• Jazz Band to play at Awards Night 
  

President Report: Libby Craig

• No Report
  

Uniform Report: LeeAnne Thompson

• Marching Band Uniforms coming back from cleaners
  
•  Wednesday, May 17th - Rebuild uniform bags after school 3pm -5pm
  
• Took down Senior bags from Marching Band - could reuse marching shoes
  
• Fittings will be done at Shull - everything must move over
  

Color Guard:  Melissa Guyer 

• Waiting on a couple more measurements to order uniforms 
  
• After May 20th will be ready to place order for equipment and costuming
  

Fundraising Committee: Bobbi Bond 

• Trash Bag Sales going well with lots of online orders
  
• Pick up will be May 16th at 5pm-7pm in Church parking lot, will need adult help at 3;30pm
  

Programs: No report
Chuckwagon: Bobbi Bond
Breakfast went well
Ordering cupcakes for Awards Night from Sam’s 100-150 & lemonade
Treasurer Report: Marian Pfeiler

• Balance Checking/Savings combined $66,000 processed transfer to move money from savings for the sound system
  
• All student accounts received $92.03 credit from last Fall
  
• Received Candle Fundraiser deposit from Colorguard
  
• Gift card giveaways at Awards Night as left over from Father/Daughter Dance - Will let the board know how many were left over
  
• Still need trailer appraisal to write off
  
• Band account is now sales tax exempt certified on Amazon
  
• Need to close out year, before starting new year, year ends June 30th
  
• Still need to email Seniors if money goes to gator fund, general fund, or benevolence or sibling fund. By-laws read only benevolence
  
• Marian wants to apply numbers and will update the board of $1256.71 for Mr. Shupe’s equipment drawers purchase
  

Band Dads: Jason Heuwinkel

• Working on props -  will need help at competitions and football games to move props Don Mott has been designing with sample prop
  
• Right now 7 volunteers 
  

Nomination Committee/New Board Selection: Lisa Sorge

• Jill Clingan accepted Secretary, 2023-2024 school year
  
• Michelle Houston accepted Vice President, 2023-2024 school year
  
• Libby Craig will remain President and Marian Pfeiler will remain Treasurer for the school year 2023-2024.  Vote was taken and New Board was voted in. Seconded by Jill Clingan
  

New Business: 
Jennifer Gibson would like to give $50.00 gift cards to the bus drivers. Still needing to confirm Trey for the 2023-2024 season
Lisa Sorge mentioned trying to  get volunteers to serve in junior capacity to help take a year position later. 
Bobbi Bond asked about ordering Spirit Wear- Marian Pheiler mentioned all New Freshman will want Spirit Wear
Libby Craig thanked Bobbi Bond & Michelle Helzer for serving on Board 2022-2023 year

TUESDAY, JUNE 13th - PLEASE MEET AT 6pm TO CLEAN OUT THE SHED!
Zach Shupe will lead this cleanout

Next Gathering: 6:00pm Tuesday June 13, 2023  - shed clean out - NO FORMAL MEETING

Next Meeting:  7:00pm Tuesday, July 11, 2023
