 MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF THE 
RAYMORE-PECULIAR BAND BOOSTERS CLUB, INC
November 12, 2019

The regular meeting of the Raymore-Peculiar Band Boosters Club was held in the band room at the High School.  Those in attendance were: Kelli Hurley, Tara Spencer, Libby Craig, John Wilson, Tami Hallford, Trina Westhues, Melissa Adams, Lisa Sorge, RJ Hurley, Diana Edgecomb, Amber Bramble, Susan McCammish, Jennifer Story, Travis Houston, Tiffany Lindsey, Quentin Lindsey, Amber Emery, Laurel Baumgartner, Fred Baumbartner, Tina Kirby, Arla Beneke


The meeting was called to order by Trina at 7:01pm

• Introductions
  
• Meeting Expectations and Bylaws Objectives:
  
  • Assist the RP Band program and directors
    
  • Promote enthusiasm and commitment to band among students, parents, school board and communities
    
• Support instrumental music education throughout the district
  
• To raise funds to finance or partially finance activities related to music education
  

Business Reports:  

• The minutes from the October 8, 2019  meeting were reviewed. Motion to approve minutes, Lisa -Kelli, seconded . No discussion
  

Treasurer’s  Report: Diana Edgecomb ~$11,000

• Tara Spencer to assist
  
• 2nd page 1st column October fees
  
• Butterbraids goes into November
  
• Trina has program money
  

Committee Reports:
Color Guard- 

• Tryouts happening now for Winter Guard
  
• Diana moved that fees for this year be forgiven, Lisa seconded it
  
• Next year fees will be built in up front
  

Fundraising -Catie/Jennifer

• Sunglasses -still have some to sell, will try again in the Spring
  
• Football Programs- someone needs to take over-Jennifer Scrivener willing to assist
  
• Butterbraids did well ~$2000 profit, 401 units online and paper orders
  
• TSA Cups- Aaron Howlett to make order form $23/$18 depending on size
  
• Father/Daughter Dance to be headed by Amber Bramble-Kelli Hurley passing the books
  

-Feb 1st
-Tues/Sat Workdays- only issue is that there are no basketball games until 1/11 so we would have to pay for janitor. Trying to come up with other options
-8th graders can help at all workdays and day of the dance.
-1st planning session 11/19 6-8pm RPSMS

• ? Gift wrapping fundraiser?
  

Field Crew/Band Dads-RJ Hurley -Head Band Dad

• White trailer had some damage to the cord- Jason should be able to replace
  
• Received $750 check for the props except we kept the bases
  

Uniforms – Kelli Hurley

• New Uniforms not here yet. Hat wraps and plumes looked sharp
  
• Pink gloves-washed and dried
  
• Mr. Wilson would like to wear the new uniforms if they come in and we have a game to play- Band Boosters did not agree
  

Concert Wear- Kiersten Grier’s grandma, Lynette

• Everything was done for the concert
  

Chuckwagon – 

• 200 water bottles left
  
• Everything has been organized
  
• Motion made to get Thank you gifts for Katie and Price Chopper up to $50. Tara/Quentin- approved 
  

Director’s Report:

• Water tree needs to be put away in Shull
  
• 62 kids made All-District bands
  
• All-State Auditions are the 1st Saturday in December at MU
  
• 3 jazz bands- Mr. Shupe helping with 3rd jazz band
  
• Concert was good- Next Concert December 16 in the auditorium 6pm and 7:30pm
  
• Possible Football games 11/23 & 11/30
  
• Glow Show- awesome- will continue- fundraiser was phenomenal
