Ray-Pec High School's "Competition" Marching Band has began practice this week and is off to a great start! This year we invited two guest clinicians, AAron Bryan and Melissa Goff, to work with students during the first two days of camp. Mr. Bryan and Ms. Goff have extensive marching band experience and provided an amazing wealth of knowledge and skill to our students and staff. Along with Head Director John Wilson and the Assistant Directors Dillon Jarrett, Jennifer Gibson, and Linda Pierson, we are pleased to introduce additional staff members to our team. Taylor Starks, a new Ray-Pec math teacher, will serve as our Percussion Instructor. Mr. Starks has percussion experience with the Blue Springs Golden Regiment and University of Central Missouri marching bands. Cecil Short, a current Ray-Pec English teacher, will serve as our Color Guard Instructor. Mr. Short has marching band and color guard experience with the Odessa Band of Distinction and the University of Central Missouri marching bands. Mr. Short is also getting additional assistance from his sister, Cassandra Wright. |
