HOW DO WE PICK AN INSTRUMENT?
Picking an instrument is a big decision. We will help you through the process.
Step 1: 5th Graders try the instruments on their middle school tour day (February)
Step 2: Students talk with parents about choosing an instrument.
Step 3: Fill out the TOP 3 Instruments Form.
We will email you soon (early March) to confirm your instrument. Most students get their top choice. We only move to a second or third choice if a section fills up.

Students playing an orchestra instrument will attend an Instrument Night in August.

We will guide you through this process so you get exactly what your child needs to be successful in class.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The cost varies by instrument. Most families participate in the rent-to-own option. You will make a monthly payment until the instrument is paid off.
Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone
Rent-to-own estimate: ~$35 per month
Alto Saxophone
Rent-to-own estimate: ~$80 per month
French horn, Baritone, Tuba
Use a school instrument. A small $50 yearly fee.
Percussion
Rent-to-own estimate: ~$75 per month
These prices are estimates based on past years. Prices are set by Meyer Music. You will receive specific pricing details at our Instrument Night in April.
