Hello Bridle Ridge Band Families,
This has been an amazing start to the school year. I am so proud of the student's progress. We are flying through the book and having a blast!
PRACTICING AT HOME
You child should be practicing 80 minutes throughout each week. We have Band Ninja lines they can practice and record on EEi to earn their Band Ninja "belts". If your child is NOT practicing, there is a strong chance they will begin falling behind. Now is a great time to talk with your child about making good choices and how hard work pays off. If your child isn't practicing, you may want to check in and ask if they can read the music okay. If not, they should return to the first 10 lines in our book to practice identifying the notes. This really helps!
Next week, I will send give another Practice Log Report showing how many minutes your child entered into their practice log. Students should catch up on their minutes this weekend.
FUNDRAISER - GOOD NEWS
You may not know this yet, but we will NOT be selling pretzels or popcorn this year for the band/choir/music fundraiser. (Take a moment...let this sink in...do your happy dance).
Nobody really likes the sales fundraisers...right?
Here is what we ARE doing. We are hosting our final Trivia Night. Yep...the last one. We need your help to either participate or promote the event. Here are the details:
