MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF THE
 RAYMORE-PECULIAR BAND BOOSTERS CLUB, INC. 
THURSDAY – SEPTEMBER 13TH, 2022

The regular meeting of the Raymore-Peculiar Band Boosters Club was held in the band room. Those in attendance were:Jennifer Gibson, Zach Shupe, Dillon Jarrett, Libby Craig, Jonah Craig, Jenna Craig, Bobbi Bond,Marian Pfeiler, Seina Pfeiler, Shenelle  Mourning, Bo Helzer,

The meeting was called to order at 8:05 pm by Libby Craig and Jennifer Gibson

• Introductions
  
• Meeting Expectations and Bylaws Objectives:
  
  • Assist the RP Band programs and directors
    
  • Promote enthusiasm and commitment to band among students, parents, school board, and communities
    
• Support instrumental music education throughout the district
  
• To raise funds to finance or partially finance activities related to music education
  

Business Report:
Motion to approve minutes for August booster meeting was made by Libby Craig, seconded by Tami Hollford.
Directors Report: Jennifer Gibson

• Student leaders made the decision to perform after the football games.
  
• All District band auditions are on November 12th; sign-ups are available now.
  
• The first band concert is on October 10th.
  
• A suggestion was made to announce that the band will perform after the football game.
  

President Report: Libby Craig

• No Report
  

Treasurer Report: Marian Pfeiler

• Fall programs changes from $3.00 to $5.00
  
• Nonpayment of ads from last year will be written off
  
• Fees for students have been applied to the Charms account
  
• Statements have not been sent because Marian needs to apply profit from trash bag and mum fundraisers
  
• Spirit wear orders are outstanding; Jennifer Gibson received a box that may contain the orders
  

Uniform Report: Lisa Sorge

• If a student needs to change shoes, then they should go through a uniform Mom
  
• Working on concert wear
  
• Bibbers are needed for the Hawaii trip; 16 total
  
• Decide on dates to pick up bibbers for Hawaii
  

Color Guard: 

• Uniforms and flags are in
  

Fundraising Committee: Bobbi Bond

• Trash bags - A few trash bag orders have not been picked up
  
• Mums - Sending the mum orders on Thursday night; if there are additional orders they need to be turned in by Wednesday. Pick up the mums on September 27th by the church. Volunteers are needed to accept the delivery. Jennifer Gibson states the students have helped with this in the past.
  
• Butter braids – online and paper forms are due by October 27th. The orders will be available the second week in November, and they must be picked up because there is no place to keep them.
  
• MOD Pizza raised approximately $200
  
• Texas Roadhouse will have to be moved to another date
  

Chuckwagon: Bobbi Bond

• Brewster family is sponsoring this game; 2 slices of pizza and bottled water.
  
• Families are needed to sponsor food before the game to feed the students.
  
• September 24th is a long day, donations are needed for meals and snacks. Sweet snacks are preferred and nothing that will melt.
  
• Need more water donation, no points awarded.
  
• Mexican food for lunch and grilled hot dogs for dinner
  
• Adults pay a $20 fee for meals for the entire season; this helps support the purchase of extra food
  

Band Dads: Jason Heuwinkel

• Props will be done this Thursday
  
• It takes 2 weeks for the art process and up to 2 weeks for printing and delivery; it costs approximately $1,982
  
• Remove the scrims from the order
  
• Don Mott came up with the design! The cost is approximately $1,000
  

New Business: 
Fundraiser: (color guard)

• Shoe drive fundraiser - need 55-gallon storage containers. A suggestion was made to have the fundraiser at the school, this will allow the use of the custodian trash cans for storage. A bin will be set up at the Peanut, inside the school (library and front office). Estimating 300 pairs of shoes
  
• Ice cream social – September 20th from 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm. This will be announced through Charms and posted throughout the school. Family-friendly, free ice cream and bring shoes to the RPHS Cafe’.
  

Show shirts: (Jennifer Gibson)

• Students designed the show shirts and the order was placed.
