​MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF THE
RAYMORE-PECULIAR BAND BOOSTERS CLUB, INC
September 8, 2020

The regular meeting of the Raymore-Peculiar Band Boosters Club was held virtually, those in
attendance were: Nina Hunter, Jennifer Gibson, Joyce Noah, Catie Howlett, Libby Craig,
Jennifer Story, Tara Spencer, Gina Riegert, Carey DeForest, Laurel Baumgardner, Dillon
Jarrett, Sandy Sloan, Cat Campbell, Lisa Sorge.

The meeting was called to order by our President, Catie Howlett at 6:00pm
Minutes were sent to the Board, but were not posted. Dillon Jarrett will help Joyce Noah get
set up with Weebly to have minutes posted.

Band Director: Jennifer Gibson
Practice was cancelled today (darn weather app)
Game went really well, drop off time will need to be adjusted, Mr Deckard will speak with
Mr. Hipple. Staff and Kids were awesome!
Next home game is Homecoming, no pre-game, just half time performance
For home games only seniors will receive tickets for parents to watch game/performance
The Thursday before the last home game will be the BIG performance (10/22). Glow
Show Night - the marching band will perform for all the parents who want to attend.
We have been through 3 weeks of in school band “Under the Big Top” Filters have been
ordered for all band students.
Band Concert will be held on Oct. 12th at the Amphitheater in Raymore “Spooky Theme”
After school rehearsals will be posted in Canvas, so that all students can practice together.

Treasurer: Tara Spencer & Cat Campbell
Band Fee has been changed from $30.00 to $20.00 and will be due by November 2nd
Reconcile 21 students from the 2019-2020 school year who owed $30.00 - 15 are no
longer band members and 6 we will still try to collect from. Joyce Noah made a motion to use
the Benevolent Fund to wipe out accounts of the 15 students who are no longer in band from
the 19-20 school year, seconded and carried.
Student email & statements went out - some are not matching up with charms. Tara &
Cat will work on this.

Fundraising: Jennifer Story
Spirit Wear - Monkey Printing
Mums - Orders due back on 9/14, Pick-Up will be 9/24. Jennifer will need help with drop
off at the church on the 24th
Trash Bags - Orders are due back on 9/14

Programs: Gina Riegert
Back cover, Inside back cover, 2 page spread, getting senior ads, Need help calling,
Marching Band advertising. Hope to sell at the last home game.

Band Dads:
4 Volunteers at each game, Drum Major podiums need to be out.

Chuck Wagon: Laurel Baumgardner
Hy-Vee cookies for seniors were GREAT! Set up went great. Suggestion that members
enter through the double doors and exit through single door.

Uniforms: Lisa
Kids looks awesome! Lots of nice comments from band members about the room and no
grumbles!!!

New Business: None

Announcements:
Next home game will be 9/18
Next booster club meeting will be 10/13

A motion was made by Tara Spencer to adjourn the meeting, seconded and carried at 6:35pm
