 MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF THE 
RAYMORE-PECULIAR BAND BOOSTERS CLUB, INC
October 8, 2019

The regular meeting of the Raymore-Peculiar Band Boosters Club was held in the band room at the High School.  Those in attendance were: Catie Howlett, Kelli Hurley, Tara Spencer, Libby Craig, John Wilson, Tami Hallford, Trina Westhues, Melissa Adams, Lisa Sorce, RJ Hurley, Nina Hunter, Trey “Super Trucker” Scott, Diana Edgecomb, Amber Bramble, Susan McCammish, Jason McCammish


The meeting was called to order by Catie at 7:01pm

• Introductions
  
• Meeting Expectations and Bylaws Objectives:
  
  • Assist the RP Band program and directors
    
  • Promote enthusiasm and commitment to band among students, parents, school board and communities
    
• Support instrumental music education throughout the district
  
• To raise funds to finance or partially finance activities related to music education
  

Business Reports:  

• The minutes from the September 10, 2019  meeting were reviewed. Motion to approve minutes -Kelli, seconded . No discussion
  

Treasurer’s  Report: Diana Edgecomb

Committee Reports:
Color Guard- 

• Fees about people for flag-Color Guard
  
• Turn in deposit
  
• Fee $350 to start- Uniform/flags-in Color Guard account
  
• Fees for food, trailer, overnight stay not included
  
• Compromise on fees-need to talk to Jennifer-How do we communicate with her
  
• Fees should be built into starting fee next year
  

Fundraising -Catie/Jennifer

• Sunglasses 
  
• Football Programs
  
• Spirit wear
  
• Mums-new pickup plan on mums next year
  
• Trash Bags-done
  
• Chipotle Night- $186.
  
• Open Fundraisers- One More Scoop has to be on Tuesdays- waiting
  
• Butterbraids-need volunteers to help pass out after concert on Oct 29
  
• Father/Daughter Dance to be headed by Amber Bramble
  

-Feb 1st-have Jazz band play at the dance
-Red Carpet Royal Event
-use red carpet, chandelier from cardboard, tiered table for snack setup, photobooth-$2 per photo, serve hotdogs/nachos
-Blue/Silver/Gold color scheme
-maybe K-8 can attend, maybe not due to big age range
Field Crew/Band Dads-RJ Hurley -Head Band Dad

• Working on tires, bid for tires-need 7-8 new tires $275-vote unanimou
  

Uniforms – Kelli Hurley

• Nina, Lisa, Melissa-great uniform crew-2 of them volunteered for next year!
  
• Turned in receipt from Walmart for socks and Downy wrinkle release
  
• Pink gloves-Friday Pink out game
  
• Kids have to check-in uniforms so we can check to see if pants are hung up correctly
  

Concert Wear- Kiersten Grier’s grandma, Lynette

• Moving along-all girls are fitted, good start on boys of Wind Symphony
  
• $160 to order 2 new dresses and 2 shrugs-Kelli motioned/Lisa seconded
  

Chuckwagon – 

• Cambros here and working great
  
• Trying to adjust food quantities
  
• Saturday food-wings, potatoes, vegetables/dip -lunch, Pulled Pork, Pulled chicken, cheesy corn and baked beans -dinner
  

Director’s Report:

• Director’s Budget-$8000- Lisa motion to accept budget presented in June, Tara seconded-approved
  
• Receipt for Josh’s pants to go under uniform budget
  
• Only overnight is StL- Days Inn St.Louis, Lindbergh 314-717-0941 for reservation
  
• Francis Howell time got moved back to 130 or 2:30pm-plan to get there by noon-leave 8am eat/warmup
  
• Sunday in StL -City Museum-part of fees pay for the museum-kids will need to bring money for lunch
  
• Park Hill- 4 cross country kids-hope they arrive in time
  
• Cameron-Parade and Indoor shows plus field show
  
• Glow Show-may be at half time, but may have to do after game due to lights not coming back on fast enough

• Can someone please fix the notifications from the calendar to not come out at midnight
