 MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF THE
RAYMORE-PECULIAR BAND BOOSTERS CLUB, INC
        May 10,2022

The regular meeting of the Raymore-Peculiar Band Boosters Club was held in the band room. Those in attendance were: Jennifer Story, Marian Pfeiler, Lisa Sorge, Bobbi Bond, Jonah Craig, Jenna Craig,Mika Craig, Chris Thompson, Michelle Helzer, Jason Heuwinkel, Tristan Musfelt, Damien Musfelt, Bill Johnson, Dean Johnson, Msddie Johnson, Jill Clingan, Melissa Adams
The meeting was called to order by Jennifer Story at 7:07pm.Lisa Sorge seconded

• Introductions
  
• Meeting Expectations and Bylaws Objectives :
  
  • Assist the RP Band program and directors
    
  • Promote enthusiasm and commitment to band among students, parents, school board and communities
    
• Support instrumental music education throughout the district
  
• To raise funds to finance or partially finance activities related to music education
  

Business Reports:  

• Motion to approve minutes from April booster meeting made by Jennifer Story, seconded by Lisa Sorge
  

Director Report: Jennifer Gibson

• Review of Final Band Concert-everything went smoothly. It was nice to honor the seniors.Senior video will be played at Band Awards. Need to review band etiquette with the students- not to be on their phones while other bands are playing.
  
• 5/24- Band Awards Banquet- HS Patio Commons-Sheet cakes ordered
  
  • Need photos for Senior video
    
  • Set up at 6pm
    
• Mandatory Hawaii Trip Meeting-Sept 13, 2022 7pm HS Theater- All going to Hawaii must attend
  
• Color Guard auditions have been completed- 15-16 color guard members
  
• Marching Band show is almost picked
  

President Report: Jen Story

• Senior gift is ready
  
• Cake, table decorations, and paper goods ready for awards night
  

Treasurer Report:  Marian

• Just under $15,000 in discretionary fund
  
• I will attend Hawaii trip meeting to explain money available to pay for Hawaii trip.
  
• We have reached out to people to get up to date on band fees.
  

Uniforms: Lisa Sorge

• Uniforms to be picked up May 11 and returned the following week. We want to rebuild the bags for returning marchers- will need 4 volunteers. We will also breakdown Senior bags. 84 jackets and 83 bibbers to be sent out.
  
• We will send out concert wear in August
  
• Ms. Gibson would like to eventually transition to everyone in Tuxedo shirts and bow ties and black dress pants
  

Fundraising Committee-Bobbi Bond

• Donation Fundraiser- Fan Angel is going well. Moved to go through 5/23. We could do it again in September.
  
• Cheer Coach wants to do a Mother/Son Dance- they would like to know when we are doing the Father/Daughter dance.
  
• Jen Scrivener is asking about Football Programs
  
• Possible Fundraiser- Breakfast with Santa
  

Band Dads: Jason Heuwinkel

• We have been looking into getting a Gator- prices are crazy
  
  • Found one that can pull 1500lbs for $10,000. 
    
  • Jeff Helzer could talk to maintenance to see if we can use the district Gator.
    
  • 4 wheeler could also be an option.
    

Chuckwagon: 

• Thanks for breakfast for State Solos and Ensembles
  
• Band Awards refreshments already discussed
  

New Business.

• Can Band Boosters have their own form of communication?
  
• Survey was sent out but only one response.
  
• Family Night for Marching Band July 28th
