 MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF THE
RAYMORE-PECULIAR BAND BOOSTERS CLUB, INC
        June 16, 2022

The regular meeting of the Raymore-Peculiar Band Boosters Club was held in the band room. Those in attendance were: Jennifer Story, Marian Pfeiler, Lisa Sorge, Bobbi Bond, Libby Craig, Melissa Guyer, Michelle Helzer, Bo Helzer, Ashtyn Hutchison, Jen Gibson, Matt Stanley, Sam Musfeldt, Veda Musfeldt, Damian Musfeldt, Tristan Musfeldt.
The meeting was called to order by Jennifer Story at 7:06pm.

• Meeting Expectations and Bylaws Objectives :
  
  • Assist the RP Band program and directors
    
  • Promote enthusiasm and commitment to band among students, parents, school board and communities
    
• Support instrumental music education throughout the district
  
• To raise funds to finance or partially finance activities related to music education
  

Business Reports:  

• Motion to approve minutes from April booster meeting made by Lisa Sorge, seconded by Melissa Guyer
  

Director Report: Jennifer Gibson

• 98 kids in Marching Band. We did get some new kids that are not Freshman.
  
• Meeting with Gateway 6/17. 52 people are on the waiting list due to being 2 or more payments behind. Currently, 109 people up to date on payments. If this number stays the same, the price could increase by $48-$53 per person. If the 52 get back up to date or others join the payment may remain the same. Extra cost will likely be added to the last payment. July 22nd is the last day to get 100% back. There are no intentions of cancelling the trip.
  
• Band Dad request- 1st movement of drill is already written. We will need 8 platforms built on casters that will turn. Kids will be turning them, Fabric on them needs to be vented. These could be bought, but would be extremely expensive.
  
• Zach Shupe wants new locks so that we can have everything keyed the same. Cost would be about $100.  This has been approved.
  
• Leadership camp-week of July 25th
  
• Band Pictures most likely 2nd week of Band Camp
  

President Report: Jen Story

Treasurer Report:  Marian

• Dry cleaner has been paid
  
• Fees for 22/23 will be set up after July 1st.
  
• Email access to S’more?, Emails sent through Charms, ? Remind
  

Uniforms: Lisa Sorge

• Will need volunteers 1st week of band camp for fittings. Will start Day 2- needs 4-5 volunteers
  

Fundraising Committee-Bobbi Bond

• FanAngel Fundraiser earned $4,446.86 for students- Gross $4900.00. We could possibly repeat this August 4-22.
  
• Other fundraisers in August- Trashbags and Mums
  
• Butterbraids-thinking delivery November 10th
  
• Mattress Sale is December 10th
  
• Father/Daughter Dance February 11th requested by Gibson in District Calendar
  
• Jennifer Scrivener is working on finding a new printer for the football programs.  We need to stress payment upfront for ads.
  
• Other possible fundraisers-fireworks tent, restaurant nights
  
• Family Picnic July 28th- Bobbi contacted Ice cream truck-$500 minimum, Shaved Ice-$300 minimum.  If we didn’t reach that, we would still owe them the difference.
  
  • $500 estimate for Hot dogs, watermelon, chips, lemonade/water
    

Band Dads: Matt Stanley

• Matt will help coordinate the band dads to help with grilling the hotdogs.
  
• Trey will still be driving the semi
  

Chuckwagon: 

• Need to get info from Victoria
  
• will be setting up tables at picnic on July 28th to try to get more volunteers
