 MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF THE 
RAYMORE-PECULIAR BAND BOOSTERS CLUB, INC.
July 9, 2019

The regular meeting of the Raymore-Peculiar Band Boosters Club was held in the band room at the High School.  Those in attendance were: Catie Howlett, Jennifer Story, Travis Houston, Diana Edgecomb, Kelli Hurley, RJ Hurley, Tara Spencer, Trina Westhues, Susan McCamish, Laurel Baumgartner, Fred Baumgartner, Danny Scrogham, Tina Kirby, Jill Sueltz, Quentin Lindsey, Tiffany Lindsey, Marisa Viets, Bradley Viets


The meeting was called to order by Kelli/Trina at 7:04pm

• Introductions
  
• Meeting Expectations and Bylaws Objectives:
  
  • Assist the RP Band program and directors
    
  • Promote enthusiasm and commitment to band among students, parents, school board and communities
    
• Support instrumental music education throughout the district
  
• To raise funds to finance or partially finance activities related to music education
  

Business Reports:  

• The minutes from the June 11, 2019  meeting were reviewed. Motion to approve minutes -Kelli, seconded Catie . No discussion
  

Treasurer’s  Report: Faye Tait and Diana Edgecomb

Committee Reports:
Color Guard-

• no representative
  

Fundraising -Catie/Jennifer

• Culver’s 8/20 5-8pm- Drumline possibility- Need volunteers for workers-Wilson will need to email
  
• Sunglasses- Sell at registration. Bought 300 pairs  Cost $1545
  
• We are a go for football programs. Jennifer Scrivener wants to do it. Will print less this year. Sign up genius for program sellers. Kailey Story will work with Jennifer Scrivener- SR ads on RP Update
  
• Spirit wear- flyers printed and will be given out at band camp 7/29- return by 8/2
  
• Mums- Catie will call 7//15- flyer to be created
  
• Trash Bags- Fall- 8/19 start date, due 2-3 weeks, Delivery on a Thursday night
  
• Crew shirts- $12 sign up-payment to Band Boosters by next meeting
  
• Open Fundraisers-MOD Pizza, Big Daddy’s Donuts, Chipotle
  

Field Crew/Band Dads-RJ Hurley -Head Band Dad

• sign up- end of July hopefully
  
• need to get prop info from Wilson
  
• Wilson/Shoop-work with both
  
• Keys- Trey and Brent for shed & trailer
  
• White trailer- needs hitch mount
  

Uniforms – ?

• New uniforms to be delivered mid/late season
  
• still working on temporary solution to avoid double dry cleaning at end of year-possible bibbers/compression shirts or jumpsuits
  

Concert Wear- Kiersten Grier’s grandma

• possible inventory system-scan tags
  

Chuckwagon – 

• Band BBQ 8/23 proposed by Kelli seconded by Diana - all agree
  

-Sides and Case of H2O
-need to bring individual snacks 
-will have info at Band Camp

• Band camp- Shivers fundraiser July 31st-20% of purchase back to band-need to know #’s and break time
  
• Pizza/ice cream on last day, August 2nd
  
• Senior Cookies- Ivy’s Cookies-suggestion
  
• Coolers/Tables-needs- covered by budget
