​MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF THE RAYMORE-PECULIAR BAND BOOSTERS CLUB, INC.
TUESDAY, AUGUST 8, 2023

The regular meeting of the Raymore-Peculiar Band Boosters Club was held in the band room. Those in attendance were Jennifer Byrne, Zach Shupe, Chris Thompson, LeeAnne Thompson, Jason Heuwinkel, Sarah Hahs, Libby Craig, Jeneva Craig, Marian Pfeiler, Michelle Houston, Crystal Courtney, Ciann Courtney, Seina Pfeiler, Anessa Pfeiler, Melissa Guyer, Abigail Guyer, Sam Musfelt, Tristan Musfelt, Damien Musfelt, Vada Musfelt, Kelsey Walker, Matt Clingan, Jill Clingan, Tanya Moody, Bobbi Bond, Chacqie Chandler, Michelle Durham
 
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Libby Craig

Band Dads: Jason Heuwinkel

• Don has been working on a prototype but has been buying out Lowe’s, and it would be helpful for dads to get parts from other stores. When the dads buy the parts, they can give their receipts to Marian, and she will reimburse them. They are planning a night to start building.
• A band dad has a Class A license, so if we need another backup, we have someone who can drive Shirley, and he has also a side-by-side with a 6-foot bed which can drive the trailer for Thursday nights, football games, and competitions. Don is going to haul Laverne. 

 
Director’s Report: Jennifer Byrne

• We are in week 4 of camp (color guard + percussion + two weeks of regular band camp). Marching band photos are on Friday in the stadium at 7:30 a.m.
• Kent Lineberry is the new percussion teacher.
• The Athletic Director Dr. Martin sent a picture asking about the band shed and noted that it’s unsightly and needs to be painted. 
• The superintendent has asked that the drumline play for convocation on Monday.
• Just a reminder that all volunteers need to be on the approved list. Parents should see band email for how to get a background check. 

 
Uniform Report: LeeAnne Thompson

• LeeAnne thanks everyone who helped with fittings. There are only six marchers left to fit, and they are going to be fitted on Thursday morning. 

 
 
Fundraising Update: Michelle Houston

• Spirit wear orders have been turned in and should be ready by the 21st. September 11 is going to be Culver’s night, and there will be a mums sale in September. We may have a Mojitos night later in November. 

 
Chuckwagon Report: Bobbi Bond

• When the band room opens back up, we can determine how much Gatorade and snacks we need to ask for. The Brewsters are doing pizzas for all football games. Two families are lined up to bring drinks, and we need two more. 

 
Treasurer’s Report: Marian Pfeiler

• The benevolent fund balance in almost 17K. The booster members unanimously voted to move 4K into the sound system fund (for two more wireless microphones and two more receivers) and 7K into the Gator fund.

 
Football Program Report

• We are using Cass Gazette for the printer this year We are spending $300 on the programs and have at least $1500 sold in ads so far. Senior ads will be accepted through the 15th. 

 
Color Guard Report: Kelsey Walker

• Costumes and props have either come in or will be in by the first football game. They have a good indoor show put together as well.
