MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF THE
 RAYMORE-PECULIAR BAND BOOSTERS CLUB, INC. 
TUESDAY – APRIL 11th, 2023

The regular meeting of the Raymore-Peculiar Band Boosters Club was held in the band room. Those in attendance were: Jennifer Gibson, Zach Shupe, Libby Craig, Jenna Craig, Bobbi Bond, Marian Pfeiler, Michelle Helzer, Lisa Sorge, Melissa Adams, Melissa Guyer Jill Clingan, Matt Clingan, Jennifer Scrivener, Kelsey Walker - Call in
The meeting was called to order at 7:13pm by Libby Craig with a celebration prior at 7pm for Jennifer Gibson’s engagement!
Meeting Expectations and Bylaws Objectives:

• Assist the RP Band programs and directors
  
• Promote enthusiasm and commitment to band among students, parents, school board, and communities
  

• Support instrumental music education throughout the district
  
• To raise funds to finance or partially finance activities related to music education
  

Business Report:.
Motion to approve minutes for March 14th, 2023 booster meeting was made by 
Lisa Sorge, seconded by Melissa Adams
Directors Report: Jennifer Gibson

• High School Band Auditions are April 13th from 3:30-5:30pm
  
• April 19th, Band Service Hour Day - Lots to be repaired in Band Room
  
• April 24th Marching Band and Color Guard meeting at 6pm Media Center and Color Guard measurements might be at this time. Band Fees will be released
  
• Saturday, April 29th is State Competitions
  
• Percussion Practice starts- July 25th- Color Guard starts the week before
  

Full Marching Band starting, Monday, July 31st - August 11th.  Please Note
Friday, September 1st, Home Game - Senior Night

• May 8th Band Concert at 6pm 
  
• May 10th Percussion Concert
  
• May 22nd Band awards & Senior recognitions
  
• Marching Band Show soon to be released as Mr. Shupe is working on a video. Will be over 100 students in this show. Will need Band Dads for good props!
  

    Jazz Band Director: Zach Shupe

•  Need to purchase drawers for expensive equipment - under $1000 -  by June
  
• Working on getting a small trailer donated and will need paperwork for donation

Uniform Report: Lisa Sorge

• Moving Everything to Shull
  
•  April 27th, breaking down uniform bags after school
  
• More Bibbers have been returned
  

Color Guard:  Melissa Guyer - Kelsey Walker - call in

• April 13th - New Members Clinic 
  
• April 20th -  Tuesday - Thursday - Fall Tryout Night 6-9pm
  
• June, Kelsey will be hosting a Beginner’s Clinic with other schools to raise money and would like to use EventBrite to process money with Treasurer, Marian Pfeiler
  

Fundraising Committee: Bobbi Bond 

• Trash bags kick off -April 24th at Marching Band meeting, Pick up will be May 16th
  
• Cleaned the coolers and still need to clean the shed
  
• Bobbi Bond has a cookie truck and an idea to sell cookies at games with $1.00 per cookie going to Band Boosters
  

Programs: Jennifer Scrivener - Voted and working with Cass Gazette, Paul O`Brien since last season programs were overpriced. Last year $7.52 per book. This year, $3.69 per book. First book will be $10.00 per page setup. 300 books, first game, $5.42 each. 200 books per game for remaining games will be $3.69 each.  Last year's profit was $1300.

• Fireworks Stand - Stan Bloom - Will not be participating this year
  
• Balance Checking/Savings combined $62,900
  
• All numbers to Fundraising complete
  

Band Dads: No Report

New Business: May 23rd - The band room needs to relocate to Shull as construction will begin shortly.  When the new school year begins, the Band Room will reopen.
